Convicted murderer Vincent Tabak is set to be investigated about images of children being sexually abused on his laptop computer.
The 34-year-old killer was jailed for life in October after a jury found him guilty of throttling 25-year-old Hampshire woman Joanna Yeates.
But following his conviction at Bristol Crown Court it was revealed that the Dutch engineer was obsessed with images of women being strangled during sex and had perversions for violent pornography and prostitutes.
It then emerged that searches on his lap top hard drive had allegedly found 30 vile images showing sick child abuse. Avon and Somerset Police now plan to question Tabak further before any charges are pressed for.
The frozen body of Miss Yeates, who lived with her boyfriend, Greg Reardon, in a flat in Canynge Road, Clifton, Bristol, but was originally from Ampfield was found on Christmas morning by a couple walking their dog on a country lane in Failand, North Somerset.
Tabak was jailed for life by Mr Justice Field in October after a three week trial and told he would serve at least 20 years in prison before he could apply for parole.
Now it has been reported that even though Tabak is a Dutch national who lived in England for three years his unsettled legal costs, estimated to be up to £500,000, may have to be picked up by the tax payer.
Tabak, who worked as a consultant engineer in Bristol with a salary of more than £35,000, is expected to be apply for a transfer to Holland to spend the rest of his term.
