ROSES are red, violets are blue, walk past our shop and we’ll dance for you.
Tasha Jay got hearts pounding when she became a living window display model for a Hampshire florist.
The photography student was helping out pals at Tiger Lily by dancing the day away in the hope that husbands and boyfriends would flock in to order flowers for their loved ones.
Her romantic routine certainly seemed to be working as a steady stream of Valentine’s shoppers dropped in to snap-up bouquets from the new store in East Street, Southampton.
Tasha, a 30-year-old photography student at City College, said: “There have been some funny reactions from people walking past.”
Shop owner Karen Evans said Tasha, a friend of her sister’s, had already helped boost trade with her dancing.
She added: “There are lots of guys out shopping without their girlfriends ahead of Valentine’s Day and they have loved it – even the couples walking past have found it funny.”
