A TEENAGER was robbed of his mobile phone by a gang of youths, as he walked through Southampton city centre.

The 18-year-old victim was approached by four youngsters in Kings Park Road, between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Friday.

The gang assaulted the victim, leaving bruises to his face and fingers, before stealing his BlackBerry 9900 mobile phone.

Police are now hunting two men, both of whom are described as mixed race.

Stuff like this happens all the time. I was mugged a few months ago - not far from this incident, a friend of mine was attacked last week outside her own home. It's horrible.

A highly doubt they will find the people who did this. I don't have a lot of faith in the policing/cctv in our city.

Nah, this one is a bit older. A grown up, if you will. So surely entitled to own a more expensive phone.

Unlike Helen I don't have ANY faith in Hampshire Police. Still, the guy seems not to have been injuured badly for which we can only be grateful.
