The family of the young girl killed on a Hampshire road have described her as their 'beautiful little princess.'
Three-year-old Billie King died at Southampton General Hospital following a collision with a motorbike on Hamble Lane in Bursledon.
In a statement her family said: “We are absolutely heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful little princess Billie.
“She made friends with everyone she met and her smile could light up the darkest room.
“We would like to thank everyone for all the kindness and support that they have shown our family at this devastating time..
“Billie was a gorgeous girl just beginning to blow the bubbles of life. She will be deeply missed."
Earlier today, the family visited the scene of the accident to pay their tributes.
As reported earlier, Billie's aunt, Lucinda McIntosh, 32, described her as a “beautiful little girl” who was always smiling.
Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses to the collision on Hamble Lane shortly before 7pm yesterday.
Billie was crossing the road with family members when she was involved in a collision with a blue Honda CBF 600 motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man from Eastleigh, was uninjured.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either Billie or the vehicle prior to it.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Andy Lynch at the Eastleigh Road Death Investigation team, quoting Operation Anderwood, on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
• A 38-year-old man from Eastleigh was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was bailed until July 11 pending further enquiries.
