POLICE have been granted more time to quiz four people over the murder of a man found in a burning industrial bin.

As previously reported Jamie Dack, 22, was found by fire fighters as they tackled a blaze at Empress Road Industrial Estate in Southampton.

Three men, aged 31, 28 and 25 and a woman aged 20 were later arrested on suspicion of murder.

Magistrates have now extended until midnight today the amount of time detectives have to question them.

Police believe that Jamie may have been killed at a nearby address before his body was taken to the Dukes Road-based industrial site – possibly in a wheelie bin Jamie had been most recently staying at a homeless shelter in Millbrook Road West.

In a statement, his family said they were devastated by the death adding that Jamie was a “loving son and brother, well liked by everyone”.

Detectives are continuing to urge anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting operation Waterloo or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
