Great Britain's Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson romped to victory in the Star class in a wind-affected final day of the French World Cup regatta in Hyeres.

The south-coast pair won the medal race by 1 minute 20 seconds.

"This World Cup event in France has been an interesting week," RYA Olympic manager Stephen Park said.

"It has been particularly windy for a lot of the competition and that has meant it has been challenging for the race teams.

"We won the gold medal in the Star class and that sets Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson up well for the World Championships next week."
