THOSE who have gone that extra mile for people suffering from mental illness will be celebrated at a special awards evening to launch the Southampton Service User Network (SSUN).

The organisation aims to give those living with mental health issues the chance to have their say on services in the city and help improve and support those services.

To mark the official launch of SSUN there will be the first ever Southampton Service User Network Note of Excellence (SSUNNE) Awards to honour those individuals and organisations who have made a difference to one or more people in the city living with mental illness.

There will be 15 awards handed out at a special ceremony on May 17 at St Mary’s Stadium, starting at 2pm.
