HAMPSHIRE PR firm The Remarkable Group has stormed up an influential table ranking firms on their performance.

The award-winning marketing and communication agency, based in Winchester, has jumped more than 20 places from last year to 78.

The results make it the number one Hampshire firm on the list and the 13th largest outside London.

It shows Remarkable posting fee income in 2011 of £2.497m, a 49 per cent increase on 2010’s £1.676m.

The average fee income increase in 2011 across the entire Top 150 league table was only nine per cent.

Remarkable Group’s chief executive Stephen Pomeroy said: “It’s been another challenging year for all PR agencies, so we are delighted to have gone up the table and grown our fee income.

“Growth has been down to expanding our service provision including adding an award-winning video team to our existing social media and digital PR team.”

“This was in addition to retaining and growing existing client accounts.”

In the last year alone the firm added 15 new clients to its roster including Linden Homes, Wates Group, Galliford Try and Elemense, part of Hampshire-based Matchtech Group.

This has led the agency to recruit more than ten new staff.

Chris Wotton, PR director at Remarkable, added: “We now have a group of talented, passionate individuals who are committed to securing great results for their clients. The team are absolutely delighted with the result.”

In 2010, Remarkable took home four CIPR awards.
