FOLLOWING several sell-out UK tours and bestselling stand-up DVDs, multi-award winning welsh wonder Rhod Gilbert is back on the South Coast.

He appears at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts tomorrow and at Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre on Sunday with The Man With The Flaming Battenberg Tattoo – a brand new live show.

A regular on Live At The Apollo and with his own BBC One show Ask Rhod Gilbert, he’s one of the world’s hottest comedians.

Rhod’s stand-up rants on life’s minor irritations are legendary, but this year, he’s a more mellow fellow altogether. He’s now so laid-back he even let someone tattoo a Battenberg on him.

Will the new, chilledout Rhod get his girl and live happily ever after, or will it be microwaved baked potato for one again?

Both shows are sold out, but late returns may be available from the box offices.

n ANDY Hamilton’s Hat of Doom show at the Brook on Sunday has been cancelled.

Tickets will be valid for a yet to be arranged new date once Andy recovers from illness.

n Jimeoin, the Irish/Australian stand-up comic is touring his new show, Jimeoin – Lovely! at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday.

Having left his native Northern Irish town of Portstewart and settling in Australia over a decade ago, Jimeoin’s disarmingly relaxed, cheeky and sometimes surreal sense of humour has led to him performing sell-out tours to record-breaking audiences across the length and breadth of his adopted homeland. He has released several top-selling CDs and DVDs and has also built up a strong international following.

Recently he has also appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks, Best Of Just For Laughs and Best of Edinburgh Comedy Festival on TV and having been asked to appear on The Royal Variety Show 2011 and BBC’s iconic show, Live At The Apollo, is set to become a well-known face on our TV screens this year.
