City's dancing stars miss out on chance to perform for the Queen

SOUTHAMPTON’S dancing stars have lost out on the chance to perform for the Queen.

Kai Widdrington and Natalia Jeved did the city proud tonight but it was Ashleigh and Pudsey who were crowned winners of Britain’s Got Talent after winning the public vote.

Kai, 16 and 15-year-old Natalia, who was suffering from a calf injury, performed a quick-footed routine to Run Away Baby by Bruno Mars but got into difficulty halfway through the routine during a lift sequence.

The slip up didn't stop the pair from Bassett being showered with praise from the judges though.

Simon Cowell said that it was a "miracle" they were even dancing considering Natalia's injury and David Walliams said that it was a "fantastic and vibrant performance".

In the end it was dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey who won the £500,000 prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
