The parents of murdered Hampshire landscape architect, Jo Yeates, have attended a planting day in their daughter's honour.

David and Teresa Yeates were among a crowd of around 50 people that attended the planting ceremony, at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, near Romsey.

They helped plant a selection of flowers and grasses at the Jo Yeates Memorial Garden, which is set to be officially opened next month.

Teresa said Jo would have been "surprised" and "very impressed" with the garden.

She added: "It's unique, it's different and it's everything that Jo liked.

"I think she is probably looking down at us now, watching what's going on."
