NO further action will be taken against two people arrested following an incident in Romsey in which a boy was stabbed in the head.
The 17-year-old sustained an injury to the back of his head after a fight started outside a house where a 16th birthday party was taking place following the arrival of gatecrashers.
The boy was taken to hospital following the incident, in Old Salisbury Lane, Romsey, on April 21 just after midnight, and received stitches for what was described as a cut to the back of his head, but was later discharged.
A police spokesman said an 18-year-old man from Southampton arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and a 16-year-old boy from Southampton arrested on suspicion of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent would face no further police action.
A 15-year-old appeared in court earlier this month in connection with the incident charged with causing actual bodily harm, affray and possessing a pointed article as an offensive weapon.
He denied all the allegations and was bailed pending his trial at Southampton Youth Court in July.
