CASES of Chlamydia have risen by ten per cent in Southampton over the last two years.
Latest figures released by the Health Protection Agency revealed that a total of 1,225 cases were diagnosed in the city last year, compared to 1,108 in 2009.
A breakdown of these figures showed that there was a 24 per cent drop in the number of cases among those over 25, but there was a rise by 18 per cent among those aged between 15 and 24.
