A DRUG dealer was caught after police stopped the car he was driving and found ecstasy tablets in the boot.

Leon Johnson was arrested after 28 tablets were found in a holdall in the vehicle that was stopped when it was at a Texaco filling station.

Prosecutor Russell Pyne said police had also seized his mobile phone which showed he was organising deals.

Southampton Crown Court was told how the 24-year-old of Ingleside, Netley Abbey, had begun dealing the tablets because he couldn’t pay his rent and his landlord had suggested he pay off the debt by peddling drugs.

His counsel David Reid said: “For him it seemed like an easy way out of a difficult problem.”

Johnson admitted one count of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply and was jailed for two years.

Nice landlord !! Can he be prosecuted for inciting to deal ?
Still, he has a new landlord now........no worries

who ever it was that wrote this articular needs to get there facts right leon was not driving the car that the drugs where found in leon does not drive nor does he live in netley his bail conditions where for him to stay at his girlfriends who lives in netley, also the landlord part is not so true yes leon sold drugs which he thought where legal highs he had to found money to pay the landlord........ this hole case is messed up police need to do there jobs wright as that night a lot more went on where the persons car who it was that was searched was drink driving and was never tested and more drugs where found in the driversied door which was his (the owner of the car) and nothing has been done about him other then him lie in his statement and blame leon for everything......
