NEIGHBOURS have welcomed a decision to close down a sex club boasting fetish dungeons and parties for “Big Beautiful Women”.

As reported in the Daily Echo, residents living near the swingers club, where couples swap sexual partners, have complained for years about the venue, which offered guests the use of grope boxes, bondage equipment and a communal hot tub.

Now the building, in Calmore near Southampton, known as JCT2, has been barred from hosting parties - including the likes of “Greedy Girl Events” and transvestite nights – after owner David Kay lost an appeal to keep it open.

New Forest District Council issued an enforcement notice earlier this year claiming planning rules had been breached.

Bosses said the owner had failed to apply to change the use of the Salisbury Road premises from residential to a mixed use of residential and club.

Mr Kay launched an appeal claiming the house was simply a home where tenants host parties for like-minded people.

But after viewing the suspended cages, mirrors, cameras and speakers, a Government inspector ruled it was a commercial venture.

Neighbours will be glad to see the back of it.

One woman, who did not wish to be named, said: “We are fed up with it. People arrive at all hours of the night and it just makes the area seem so seedy.

“This has been going on for years now so it would be great it if stopped.

“It’s a huge relief for me and my neighbours to hear they lost their appeal.”

The club has run for at least eight years and boasts a programme of specialist nights ranging from fetish events to swingers' nights. Guests are asked to contribute up to £35 towards the evenings where “every fantasy can come true”.

Mr Kay has now been ordered to remove all items and equipment used in relation to the business within three months.

Planning inspector Richard Perrins said in his report he had “undisputed” evidence the property could be hired at a fee and guests were being charged entry.
