A motorcyclist made a brief appearance in court today following an accident which claimed the life of a young girl in Bursledon in March.
Billie King, aged three, died after being in collision with a Honda bike in Bursledon Road on March 1 when walking with her aunt.
Stephen Moon, 38, of Sopwith Road, Eastleigh , appeared before Southampton Magistrates, charged with causing her death by driving a Honda motor cycle dangerously.
Magistrates formally committed him to the city crown court for a plea and case management hearing on September 28.
Moon, dressed in a check shirt and blue jeans, only spoke to confirm his identity, age and address.
No indication of plea was advanced.
At the end of the one minute hearing, Moon had unconditional bail extended.
