Rizzle Kicks and Newton Faulkner to play Bournemouth Air Festival

Rizzle Kicks Rizzle Kicks

HEADLINE shows from Rizzle Kicks and Newton Faulkner will ensure the night-time entertainment at this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival is a hit.

The chart sensations have been named as two of the acts taking to the stage at the Corona Night Air Between The Piers events.

And more top names from the world of pop are due to be announced soon.

Corona Night Air takes place between August 30 and September 1 from 6pm and there are only 5,000 tickets available for each night, which will be available by way of ballot next week.

Demand is certain to be huge for tickets and those interested must apply online at wave105.com from 7am on Wednesday, August 8. The ballot closes at midnight on Sunday, August 12.

Both Rizzle Kicks and Newton Faulkner have drawn huge crowds to recent gigs in the area with hits including Down With The Trumpets and Dream Catch Me respectively.

Jon Brooks, Wave 105’s Sales, marketing and operations director, said: “We’re really coming in with a bang for our first year as official radio partner of Corona Night Air Between The Piers.

“We’re making the entertainment even bigger and better than ever before and we want everyone to get ‘down with the trumpets’ at the Boscombe Pier Corona Music Stage.”

At the other end of the beach, the Bournemouth Pier Corona Music Stage will have a great selection of tribute acts from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s introduced by Alex Dyke.

Complete Madness, The Queen Band and Who’s Who are among those performing. Tickets are not needed at Bournemouth Pier.

“We have been working closely with both Alex Dyke and Wave 105 to ensure there is an incredible line-up of the tribute and current pop acts” said Air Festival director Jon Weaver.

“Night Air at the Piers will no doubt be the jewel in the Air Festival crown this year and we hope everyone enjoys it.”

What does this have to do with Southampton or even Hants ?
You can't even be bothered to advertise yesterday was the last chance to buy Saints season tickets but you advertise something like this.

How dare the Echo freely cater for anybody else's news and information requirements other than your own!

In case you were unaware, the relationship between SFC and the DE is frosty to say the least.

Yes I was aware. The Echo should take these chances to make amends.

As a resident of Southampton, I don't care that they're reporting on a story in Bournemouth.

But maybe people from Southampton have an interest and would like the opportunity to go to this event.
As for the Saints season tickets, I would think the football supporters would know when the season starts, and where to get the tickets.

At least Bournemouth are putting on a show for their public, what have Southampton got to offer other than a yuppee Boat Show?
