THE FUNERAL of Southampton ’s much-loved Spinny Man will be held in the city next week.

As previously reported in the Daily Echo, Kenneth Sennett – known to many as the Spinny Man – died suddenly earlier this month, leaving thousands mourning his death.

The 56-year-old, pictured above, from Thornhill , who had worked as a janitor at the Nelson Gate Complex for more than 15 years, became a cult hero of Southampton’s nightclub scene due to his constant spinning on the dance floor.

A post-mortem revealed that he died from natural causes.

His private family burial will be held at St Mary’s Extra, Sholing , on Wednesday.

His family, who have thanked everyone for their good wishes and support, have requested that any donations should be sent to Cancer Research UK, via Jonathan Terry Independent Funeral Directors, 3 College Place, London Road.
