AN elderly woman has been taken to hospital after her mobility scooter was in collision with a car.
The 84-year-old woman from Chandler’s Ford sustained a leg injury in the crash, which happened in Pennine Way at around 3.20pm yesterday.
The accident happened as she was travelling along the road in her mobility scooter and was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Zafira, driven by a 24-year-old woman.
The pensioner was taken to Southampton General Hospital with what police described as serious injuries.
