Car break-in outside church Car break-in outside church

A 73-year-old’s car was broken into on Wednesday after she left one of her windows slightly open because of her dog.

Despite the animal’s presence a thief, near St Anne’s Church in Rhinefield Road, Brockenhurst, leaned into the car and lifted the driver’s door lock.

They stole a maroon leather purse containing £150 in cash, a number of bank cards, a driving licence and a diary.

Call PC Jason Andrews at Hythe police station on 101.

She shouldn't have left a dog in a car on a hot day.
