Jenson Button to launch superyachts
HE HAS been world champion on four wheels.
Now Jenson Button is swapping his steering wheel for a tiller to bring some Formula 1 glamour to the PSP Southampton Boat Show .
The winner of last Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix will be launching two superyachts on the opening day of the show, Friday, September 14.
The 2009 Formula 1 world champion will be joined by former team owner turned TV pundit Eddie Jordan to celebrate the global launch of Sunseeker’s Portofino 40 and Predator 80.
Celebrities Button, from Frome in Somerset, has been the face of the McLaren team along with his teammate Lewis Hamilton.
The McLaren driver is today hoping to continue his winning ways at Monza in the Italian Grand Prix.
His girlfriend is Japanese lingerie model Jessica Michibata and they live in Monaco. The pair are just two of the celebrities who will be taking part in the show which organisers expect will bring in an extra £11m into the city.
World-renowned interior designer Kelly Hoppen and celebrity chef Mark Sargeant will also be taking part in the show, which runs until Monday September 23, alongside members of Great Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic teams.

Maybe he'll just be there for the booze and to draw in the crowds since everyone wants his autograph but then the PSP Southampton boat show has gone pretty much global so it kinda makes sense to draw more people in with global celebs.
