Hampshire Fire and Rescue crew tackle fire at property near Andover

First published in News

FIREFIGHTERS were today tackling a serious blaze at a Hampshire office building.

Six crews were sent to deal with the fire at a semi-detached property containing offices and housing.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the office section of the building was completely engulfed by the flames, while the neighbouring accommodation had been affected by smoke.

Crews from Whitchurch, Andover, Kingsclere, Basingstoke and Sutton Scotney were called to the scene at Haven Hill, Swampton, near Andover and Whitchurch, shortly after 4am.

Led by three fire managers, they were this morning reported to still be damping down the scene and attempting salvage from the building.
