Police have issued an urgent appeal for information to find a high risk missing person in Hampshire.

Valerie Walsh, 49, has not been heard from since 11.10am when she spoke to her husband by telephone.

Mrs Walsh, from Netley Abbey, has previously threatened to harm herself.

She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, with a pale complexion and shoulder length dark blonde hair.

It is not believed she has a car, and there is no description of her clothing.

Anyone who sees Valerie Walsh, knows her location or anyone who sees a woman of her description is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101 as a matter of urgency.

If Valerie Walsh is seen in a life-threatening situation, ring 999.

Police in Eastleigh have urged hoteliers, taxi and bus drivers and other transport operators to look out for her.
