Catalytic thefts appeal
POLICE are appealing to a key witness to contact them as they continue to investigate a series of catalytic converter thefts in a Hampshire town.
Thieves tried to steal one of the devices from a Mitsubishi Shogun parked behind a home at White’s Way in Hedge End .
Police say they want to trace a woman who witnessed the suspicious behaviour, reporting it to staff in the nearby Barratt show home sales office at Labburn Meadows.
The attempted theft took place between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on September 9. A 29-year-old from Eastleigh and a 23-year-old from West Wellow are in custody on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles.
