A BUSY Hampshire road was closed after a ten-year-old boy was hit by a car.
The youngster collided with a car at 3.46pm this afternoon along Ringwood Road, in Totton.
He suffered a broken leg and has been taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. The 25-year-old driver of the car was unharmed.
The road was closed from the junction with Maynard Road, close to the Esso garage on the roundabout, to the junction with Bagber Road. It was re-opened just after 6pm, police said.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have ssen the collision to contact PC Jonathan Dove, at the Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101.
