Police link two burglaries
10:51am Friday 28th September 2012 in News
TWO attempted burglaries which happened in the same street on the same night are being linked.
A house in Addison Close, Romsey , was targeted by the would-be thieves overnight on Sunday, who saw that a fan light window’s handle was up and reached in through it to open a larger window to gain entry.
They walked through the lounge but took nothing.
The same night a 41-yearold woman reported hearing the dog flap go.
When she got up the next morning she discovered that the gate to her back garden had been wedged open and the shed searched.
Nothing was taken.
It is thought someone tried to get into the property using the dog flap.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call PC Christopher Clayton at Romsey Police on 101.
