Bank sealed off after fire Bank sealed off after fire

A bank has been cordoned off on a busy Southampton street after a fire started inside.

Firefighters were called to a small fire in a light fitting at the Lloyds TSB bank on Portswood Road just before 10am.

Two crews from St Mary's are still at the scene but the fire has been put out, a Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said.

Nobody was injured.

Does it prove that with billions of pounds of public money given to the 'Bankers' they can afford to burn as much as they like?

Hope none of the front line workers is hurt.

Reminds me of the days of steam trains, rang up the fire brigade and said we have a bank fire at Bitterne, I see the operator said Lloyds or Midland?
