Hampshire heartthrob Colin Firth beats David Beckham in sexiest men poll

HAMPSHIRE heartthrob Colin Firth is among the world’s top 50 sexiest men.

The film star, 52, who grew up in Winchester , came in at number 41 in the poll, above David Beckham, who was 46th in the list.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson held the top spot. More than 40,000 people voted in Glamour magazine’s 50 sexiest men of 2012 poll.

It was the sight of Firth as Mr Darcy, emerging from a lake in a dripping wet shirt during the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice adaptation, that made him an instant heartthrob.
