The 16 year hunt for Damien
7:05am Thursday 4th October 2012 in News
Damien and how he might look aged 27
DAMIEN was last seen alive at 11.35pm on the night he disappeared, captured on CCTV at Yorkie’s fish and chip shop in West Cowes High Street.
Tall and slim, he was wearing a black fleece jacket, dark blue jeans and black boots and was making his way home to Gurnard from a party.
His disappearance has baffled police, who strongly believed he may have fallen into the sea.
In 2008 they reopened the case to find him, following a complaint by Damien’s mother Valerie about the way the case had been investigated.
New lines of inquiry were generated and police released an age-generated picture of how Damien might have looked then – aged 27.
In May 2011 the search for Damien took a dramatic new twist when eight people were arrested – the first indication that the teen could have indeed come to harm that night, but that too came to nothing.
