HAMPSHIRE became home to an army of princesses as youngsters donned their tiaras for charity.

Mum Leona Shinn, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2010, organised the special children’s fun day to raise vital funds for the Red & White Appeal.

The 28-year-old wanted to give her young son and daughter the chance to help poorly people such as their mum by raising money for the Daily Echo-backed appeal to build a specialist treatment centre for blood cancer patients at Southampton General Hospital.

The event at the Irish Club in Eastleigh proved a huge success, raising £1,300.

Anyone who wants to make a donation should call Sharon Shinn on 07919 911071.
