POLICE are investigating two burglaries from rooms at Southampton’s poshest hotel.

Cash and valuables were taken from neighbouring rooms at the four-star De Vere Grand Harbour.

In one of the thefts, which happened between 9am and 7pm on Wednesday, while the guest was at a conference at the hotel, a wallet containing £65 plus €35 (about £30) was stolen.

The woman staying in the second room that was targeted lost an iPad, a purse with 300 Qatari rials (about £50), a new Russell & Bromley handbag and jewellery.
