Motorcyclist hurt in crash with van

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured after colliding with a van on a busy Hampshire town centre road.
Police closed Southampton Road in Eastleigh in both directions following the crash, shortly after 4.05pm yesterday.
The biker, who was riding a red Honda motorcycle, was thrown to the ground in Leigh Road, following the crash with a white Mercedes Vito outside the Wagon Works pub, opposite Eastleigh railway station.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene, and the motorcyclist has been taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering serious leg injuries.
It is believed the injuries are not life threatening.
