A CHURCH could be demolished to make way for housing.

The Catholic Church of Our Lady of Walsingham in White Hart Lane, Fareham, has been empty since 2010.

Plans have now been submitted to knock down the building and construct seven new homes.

A total of 18 objections have been received from neighbours to the application for two and three bedroom houses.

Fareham Borough Council’s planning committee will decide whether or not to approve the proposals at a meeting in the civic offices at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
