Community given 400 new trees Community given 400 new trees

A HAMPSHIRE community has been given more than 400 trees.

Six million new plants will be popping up around the country during the Diamond Jubilee Year, courtesy of the Woodland Trust.

Hedge End Town Council has been successful in securing ash, silver birch, wild cherry, common oak, rowan and royal oak trees.

They will be planted at Dowd’s Farm Park on Saturday, November 17 between 10am and 2pm.

Anyone who would like to volunteer to help with the planting should contact Denise Lowth on 01489 780440.
