Police winning war against the crime
3:38pm Sunday 7th October 2012 in News
Police across Hampshire are winning the war against crime.
Figures show that in areas of Southampton, Eastleigh, Romsey and the New Forest – crime is falling.
In the past 18 months there have been almost 6,000 fewer crimes compared to the 18 months before that.
And in the past six months alone the statistics show there have been 3,763 less incidents compared to the same six months last year.
They also show that violent crime has dropped, as have burglary and sex offences.
The figures come as police cntinue their Operation Fortress - a crackdown on violent drug crime across the county.

the kids carry knives yet are not searched, smoke drugs and drink openly and nothing is done.when will the real figures come out or is that too much to ask ?

The existence of crime does not mean the crime figures aren't dropping.
I see it rained the other day. Guess that means the climate is getting colder.
