A HAMPSHIRE family being terrorised by a mystery gang were targeted again when their front door was set fire to for the second time in 24 hours.

The Amiri family, from Parsonage Road, in Southampton, woke to find flames at their front door at around 8am – the same time as the previous morning.

It follows days of harassment by a number of strange men on their doorstep and a burglary on Sunday evening, in which thieves stole £400 in cash and jewellery.

As reported in yesterday’s Daily Echo, Nasser Amiri, his wife Marina and their six children – the youngest of which is two – have been living in constant fear of what will happen next.

Following Monday morning’s suspected arson attack, police installed specialist alarms at the home.

The alarms alerted emergency services yesterday morning, resulting in their arrival at the house within minutes, preventing anyone getting hurt.

Now a number of special measures have been put in place to protect the family from any further attacks.

Anyone with information about the attacks should contact Shirley CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
