A HAMPSHIRE pensioner was tricked into handing over her bank details to a conman.
Police have issued a warning after the 95-year-old handed over her bank card and pin number to the trickster.
The OAP from Lee-on-the-Solent received a call from someone pretending to be from her bank.
She was told that they were recalling credit cards with certain numbers, one of which was hers.
After a few days she received another call and was told that a courier would come to her home address to collect her card.
A man collected the card and asked the victim for her PIN number as he said it was no longer of use to her.
She gave it to him and he left only to discover that £200 was removed from her account shortly afterwards.
Anyone who has received a similar call should contact PC Bishop at Gosport police station on 101.
