Man due in court charged arson attack
A man is due in court today charged with an arson attack on a home in Southampton where a man was a sleep inside.
Stephen Lang is expected to appear before Southampton magistrates charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
The 20-year-old, from Burgess Road, was charged after an incident in Brighton Road, Bannister Park, last month.
Then, a 27-year-old man was woken by the smoke alarm and went downstairs to find the staircase and hallway filled with smoke.
The man, who is a lodger at the family home, managed to put out the flames and call 999.
