A NEW Forest man is awaiting sentence after he admitted imprisoning, attacking and stealing cash from his mother.

Robert Campbell, 33, of Northfield Road, New Milton, was charged with detaining his mother, Myra, against her will, causing her actual bodily harm, stealing £500 in cash as well as her car, damaging a telephone and telephone cable and driving while disqualified.

He appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday was further remanded in custody to be sentenced on November 2.
