A WINCHESTER supermarket is welcoming the Paralympic Torch this week.

Sainsbury’s Badger Farm customers can see the torch on Wednesday from 12.30pm- 2.30pm.

Store manager Richard Morris said: “We’ve really enjoyed playing our part in raising awareness of the London 2012 Paralympic Games in Badger Farm. For our customers, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance for them to see the torch and feel the buzz of the Paralympic Games, which we’re proud to have sponsored.”

The supermarket chain was the first sole sponsor of the Paralympics and the torch will visit 400 stores across the country, finishing its tour on November 1.
