Teenager held after cyclist knifed for his phone
A TEENAGER has been arrested after a man was knifed in a Hampshire town.
The 22-year-old was on a cycle path when approached by two men who asked him for his mobile.
When he refused to hand over the phone he was stabbed with a knife. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and took him to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident, near Toronton Road in Gosport on Monday at 11.20pm.
A 17-year-old boy from Gosport has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He is still being questioned by police.
Anyone with information should call Det Con David Sheppard on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
