Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in “extremely poor” driving conditions.
The Honda Accord they were travelling in collided with the crash barrier on the M27 eastbound between Hedge End and Hamble.
Fire crews had to remove the roof from car to free the people inside after the crash, which happened at around 1.15am this morning.
A 63-year-old man who was driving the car and a 62-year-old woman who was a passenger, were taken to hospital with bruising and whiplash injuries.
Police say the accident happened during high winds and heavy rain.
