Club Kiss, aka Mansion House
A controversial sex club threatened with closure could continue operating well into next year, the Daily Echo can reveal.
Council chiefs are currently considering an application by Martin Millar to turn Milton House, in St Anne’s Road, Woolston, into a swingers’ hotel.
But, as reported by the Daily Echo, the site, renamed Club Kiss, opened at the end of September despite not having gained planning permission.
The venue has already attracted strong opposition from Woolston residents.
But ward councillor, Warwick Payne, has admitted that process could take months to complete.
He said: “It’s almost inevitable that this case will go to the planning committee, so as a ball-park figure, I would say it will be at least two months, but probably longer, before it is decided.
“Our licensing team and the police are also monitoring the situation.”
Mr Millar, 37, said: “I’m going to carry on as I am operating Club Kiss and pursuing the planning application.
“During that time maybe we can show the people of Woolston that we will not be causing them any harm by operating here.”
