A FORMER Secretary of State for Defence is coming to Hampshire next month.

Dr Liam Fox will be in Winchester on Friday, November 2, to discuss the coalition, defence matters and the future of the UK.

He will appear alongside Winchester MP Steve Brine at a venue yet-to-be-announced.

Mr Brine said: “I am excited that Dr Liam Fox will be coming to speak with local people. He is a hugely respected figure, and I know that issues surrounding the armed forces in particular are of great interest to many across Winchester and Chandler’s Ford, as so many of my constituents have military connections.”
