DETECTIVES will return home from Poland this weekend after flying out to look for a man they want to question following the death of a Hampshire grandmother.

The team of officers working on the hunt for the killer of Georgina Edmonds are understood to have spent the week liaising with Polish authorities.

As revealed by the Daily Echo, they were deployed there after police raided a house in Twyford Road, Eastleigh, exactly two weeks after Mrs Edmonds was found dead on January 11.

Police are not confirming how successful the trip has been or whether they have spoken with the man, who was known to be living at the address until shortly after the day of the killing.

The news came as officers released details of 12 men they are trying to trace who had been seen by members of the public in the Kiln Lane area of Brambridge on the day of the killing.

Detectives are keen to stress the men, who are not necessarily suspects, have simply not been identified to officers. They can be ruled in or out of the inquiry once they have been found.

It's now four weeks since the brutal murder of the 77-year-old grandmother - and whoever bludgeoned her to death in her Hampshire home is still at large.

This morning Mrs Edmonds' son Harry was preparing to face the media for the first time to make an appeal to find his mother's killer.

To read more and to see a detailed map of the area showing where the men were sighted, see today's Daily Echo.
