ANOTHER teenage witness today told how he warned alleged murderer Aaron Roche to avoid a clash with victim Dele Little.

The 16-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, said he also saw Roche try to calm down his girlfriend before suddenly proclaiming he was going to stab Dele.

Roche, 21, is accused of fatally stabbing Dele, 15, in a fight at West Totton Centre on February 3 this year, Winchester Crown Court heard today.

The jury was told that Roche's girlfriend Kayleigh Shinn, 18, had quarrelled with Dele that evening resulting in her twice being pushed over.

The teenager said Roche had been summoned by mobile phone and arrived about five-minutes later, just after Dele had left.

The boy said: "He appeared a bit angry. He was speaking to Kayleigh calming her down. Then I heard him say I'm going to stab him'. I was about five-feet away.

"He was angry. Kayleigh had explained what had happened about the argument. He was shouting where is he then', in a raised voice.

"Someone said Dele would be back in a minute to confront the matey about what he has been saying I suppose.

"I went up to him and said just go. You would be stupid to stay in case Dele gets firey about what you have been saying'."

Prosecutor Christopher Parker QC asked the boy whether he was in effect warning Roche off.

The boy replied: "I didn't want to see anyone fighting, I would rather he had just gone. He appeared to be taking it all in and going to leave, but with his girlfriend there it would make him look small in front of her."

Roche, of Ringwood Road, Lyndhurst, denies murder.
