The Harry Redknapp Saga - Profiles of key figures

MILAN MANDARIC
After arriving at Pompey as chairman in 1998, the Serb tycoon's appointment of Harry Redknapp as manager in March 2002 resulted in promotion to the Premiership a year later.

Mr Mandaric sold a 50 per cent stake in Pompey to Alexandre Gaydamak in January 2006 and after Redknapp had kept Pompey up against the odds, having returned from Southampton, Mr Mandaric sold his remaining 50 per cent to the French/Israeli businessman before resigning as Pompey chairman 14 months ago.

Mr Mandaric was officially unveiled as the owner of Saints' Championship rivals Leicester City in February.

PETER STORRIE
Portsmouth's chief executive since early 2002, Mr Storrie previously worked with Harry Redknapp as chief executive and director of football at West Ham.

He received £120,000 for his year as chief executive at Southend United, who he left in June 2000 when the Essex club were losing a reported £125,000 a month.

Mr Storrie joined Pompey from Notts County and has served as a member of the FA Council since June as one of eight representatives from the Premier League.

WILLIE MCKAY
One of the football agents investigated as part of Lord Stevens' inquiry into transfer fraud, Monaco-based Mr McKay was intending to start legal proceedings after being criticised in the final report for his alleged failure to co-operate.

Lord Stevens' Quest team later clarified: "It was clear that no evidence of irregular payments was found in the transfers in the inquiry period which involved the agent Willie McKay."

Quest were believed to have looked into three of the Scotman's transfers, including Aliou Cisse's £300,000 move from Birmingham to Pompey in 2004.

AMDY FAYE
After catching Harry Redknapp's eye with his performances for Senegal in the 2002 World Cup, the midfielder signed for Pompey from Auxerre for £1.5m in 2003.

His agent is Willie McKay and his £2m move from Pompey to Newcastle in January 2005 was investigated as part of Lord Stevens' 15-month inquiry into alleged transfer irregularities.

Faye moved on to Charlton for £2m in August 2006 but has been on loan at Glasgow Rangers since September.

PASCAL CHIMBONDA
Tottenham and France defender whose agent, Willie McKay, was one of those investigated by Lord Stevens' inquiry into allegations of transfer irregularities earlier this year.

The 28-year-old's protracted £4.5m move from Wigan to Tottenham was completed on transfer deadline day at the beginning of last season but it was his £500,000 move from Bastia to Wigan in July 2005 that was investigated by Lord Stevens' Quest team.

Two months ago Chimonda was arrested by City of London Police on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud.
