FRIENDS of the Earth has called on voters to reject candidates who support water fluoridation in Hampshire.
FoE has backed the drive by the Hampshire Against Fluoridation campaign group to remove MPs and councillors who support water fluoridation.
Brian Jackson of FoE said: “Candidates willing to blindly support anything so dangerous to our environment and so undemocratic as compulsory medication of the public with fluoride in its many forms, have proved themselves unfit whatever party they may claim to belong to.”
Tory, Lib Dem and Green candidates have called for the plan to be scrapped. Labour candidates say there needs to be more public support.
