Fluoridation is based on politics not science says US professor
7:42am Tuesday 14th September 2010 in Fluoride
Dr. Paul Connett
THE case for fluoride is based on politics not science, a US chemistry professor told campaigners trying to stop health chiefs adding it to the tap water of 200,000 homes.
Paul Connett, founder of the Fluoride Action Network, threw his support behind Hampshire Against Fluoridation when he spoke to members on Saturday at Southampton Solent University. He used the event to launch his new book, The Case Against Fluoride: how hazardous waste ended up in our drinking water and the bad science and powerful politics that keep it there.
Prof Connett also praised the Daily Echo’s coverage of plans by South Central Health Authority, which it claims will improve children’s teeth in Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton and Netley.
He said: “The Daily Echo’s wonderful coverage on the subject is being read across the world and it has helped educate politicians and the public. That’s why I chose to launch the book here.”

However, having said that Beware! You can always find a 'scientist' somewhere who will tell you what you want to hear.

Professor Connett is a superb scientist and eloquently pointed out on Saturday how scientifically ridiculous the pro-fluoridation case is. The reason the authorities do not listen to scientific sense is that water fluoridation is a government policy. The policy was made by non-scientific MPs who have been heavily lobbied by the pro-fluoridation industrialists who wish to sell their toxic waste. Why do the Tories and Lib Dems seem happy to keep this disastrous Labour policy?
thats because the nu-labour is just another tory party, they work for capitalist and not the ordinary people.

You've been listening to the wierd American again! He couldn't get any traction in the US, so now he's trying here. OK, listen to him if you want. Personally, I don't believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus or Global Warming.

Keep in mind there is no profit in opposing it. The profit is in selling the toxic waste to communities.
It is not the government's right to medicate all citizens against their will. It must stop.

The latest study is from a New York dentist, Dr. J.V. Kumar. Go read it yourself.
"JADA Study Proves Fluoridation is Money down the Drain"
NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2009
Children's cavity rates are similar whether water is fluoridated or not, according to data published in the July 2009 Journal of the American Dental Association by dentist J.V. Kumar of the NY State Health Department(1),

The anti-fluoride lot do seem very happy to ignore more then 95% of scientist, dentist and all sorts of doctors, who say that the amount of fluoride the Health Service wish to use is of no harm, but a great health benefit to many. Perhaps this is just a middle class campaign against working class children
its not harmful unless consumed, fluoride is meant to be spat out and not swallowed, small doses build up in the body and will cause harm after a long time period, the older you are the less likely it will effect you, but a new born baby being given it will do harm in late adult life.
