THE Friends of the Dymock Poets will hold their annual AGM Weekend on Saturday, October 1, and the following day.

The venue on Saturday will be Colwall Village Hall and a number of speakers have been lined up.

Tim Brewis will give a talk on Edward Thomas; Peter Howarth will discuss the publisher Edward Marsh, and Jon Stallworthy will talk about war poetry.

On the Sunday, at 10.15am, Pat and Roy Palmer will lead an autumnal literary walk around the Bosbury area and visit both the Devil's Stone and Staplow Court, which is rumoured to be haunted.

At 3pm, the Great Hall of Malvern College will host A Sequence of Music and Literature, exploring the poetry and songs of Ivor Gurney.

Taking a bow will be Marcus Farnworth the baritone and James Baillieu, on piano.
